What You Must Declare
You must declare overseas purchases that are dutiable goods, including:
Tobacco products, including only Standardised Packaging-compliant cigarettes with SDPC markings
Intoxicating liquors
Motor fuels
Check if You Qualify for GST Import Relief
You may qualify for GST Import Relief if you are a traveller who is not:
A crew; or
A holder of a work permit, employment pass, student pass, dependent pass, or long-term pass issued by the Singapore Government.
GST relief amount (dutiable products excluded):
Time spent away from Singapore | GST relief on value of goods |
48 hours and above | $500 |
Less than 48 hours | $100 |
Duty-free Concession for Liquor
You may qualify for a duty-free liquor concession if you meet all of the following conditions:
You are 18 years old or above
You spent 48 hours or more outside Singapore before arrival
You are not arriving from Malaysia
The liquor is for personal consumption
The liquor is not prohibited for import into Singapore

How to Pay duties and GST
Open the Customs@SG web application.
Declare your overseas pumemberrchases before arrival.
Pay duty and/or GST through the application.
If You Are Unsure
If you are unsure whether an item must be declared, declare the item.
At the checkpoint:
Proceed to the Green Channel if you have nothing to declare.
Proceed to the Red Channel if you are carrying:
controlled or restricted goods; or
prohibited goods.

Use the Red Channel if you have items to declare.
Visit the Singapore Customs Tax Payment Office for payments or clarifications.
