Permit Validity
The validity period of an import permit depends on the type of goods involved, purpose of import, place of release and/or receipt.
The table summarises the typical validity periods for import permits.
Import Permit (Message Type) | Validity Period* |
In-Non-Payment | Approval Date + 9 Working Days For declaration type (Blanket – BKT): Approval date declared blanket start date to until the end of the same calendar month |
In-Payment | Approval Date + 9 Working Days Approval date + 1 working day if items are dutiable and released from Customs licensed premises |
*Please refer to the specific validity periods for each permit. If you are unable to utilise the permit within the stipulated period, please extend the validity period of the permit via TradeNet before it expires.
Error Messages
DCS Error: If your permit application is incomplete or contains an error, TradeNet will generate a DCS Error message.
CA/SC Reject: If your permit application does not meet the requirements of Singapore Customs or another Competent Authority, you will receive a CA/SC Reject message.
Please submit a new import permit application after rectifying the errors or omissions. A new Unique Reference Number (URN) will be issued for the new application.
