The Temporary Import Scheme allows you to bring goods into Singapore for short-term use without paying duty or GST upfront.
Use this table to check whether your goods and intended activity meet the eligibility criteria before applying for a Temporary Import permit.

All goods (including spare parts, excluding dutiable goods such as liquor, tobacco, motor vehicles, petroleum, biodiesel) | For repair, modification, or treatment purposes |
Professional equipment (including spare parts) | Used by a person established outside Singapore to perform a job or work in Singapore |
Live animals | For dressage, training, breeding, veterinary treatment, or grazing |
Teaching aids and scientific equipment (including spare parts and tools for maintenance, checking, gauging, or repair) | For education, vocational training, or scientific research |
Motor vehicles | For exclusive use by the driver/person in charge; repair (including spare parts); inspection (e.g., emission testing); demonstration, training, or racing |
