If you are importing a parcel, you must pay GST and duty before the items can be cleared and delivered. The payment process depends on whether your parcel is handled by SingPost or a courier service.
For Postal Parcels
From 1 November 2021, payment and parcel collection at the SingPost Centre will no longer be available. However, here is what you can do instead:
Step 1: Wait for a notification
SingPost will send you a push notification via the SingPost mobile app. If requested, you may also receive an email or letter.
Step 2: Make your payment
Pay the GST and/or duty using one of these channels:
SingPost mobile app
SAM kiosks
Any post office
Accepted payment modes include:
Amex
MasterCard
Visa
NETS
Cash (where applicable)
Step 3: Check if a Customs permit is needed
Some items require a Customs permit for clearance.
If required, apply for the permit
Submit it to SingPost with your supporting documents

For Courier Parcels
If a courier service company delivers your parcel, follow these steps:
